I've only had one, but I know women who have had several before and after healthy pregnancies. D&C's should not affect your pregnancy, cervix, etc. I've also had an aggressive LEEP and, while that made my cervix shorter than normal, that's all its seemed to do. Do you know what's caused your losses?
I felt the same way. I was almost convinced that it would never happen for me. I'm sure it didn't help that we waited until we were 34 and had a miscarriage. You could get blood tests done and a sperm analysis done on your husband, that's what we did since we were older and didn't want to wait too long to find something out. We also did the Anora test by Natera on the "products of conception," since you had a D&C that's an option for you, too. It gave me the most piece of mind regarding my loss, but through my blood work I discovered that I have a folic acid deficiency/MTHFR that would have caused problems in a healthy pregnancy, so it was good that I did that. It was an easy fix, I just started taking extra folic acid.
I'm 31 weeks today, so far so good. Our loss was genetic, trisomy 13, so there's nothing that could have been done. Most early losses are genetic, which is why they don't usually test after one, but it was driving me crazy not to and, like I said, I also found out that I have a folic acid deficiency so I'm glad I did. It is really scary, though. When you lose your first, you worry that you'll never have a successful pregnancy.
Unfortunately, a lot of women have at least one, if not more, miscarriages and also have healthy pregnancies. I had no idea how common it was until I had mine, then people started admitting that they had one or more. It's horrible any time, but I think having one your first pregnancy psyches you out. It's way more likely that your loss was due to a genetic abnormality and won't happen again than anything else, that's why your doctor doesn't feel the need to test you yet. It didn't make it any less hard, though. I'm so sorry that happened to you and I know exactly how you feel being scared. This app doesn't always work for me, but you're welcome to email me any time you want to talk!
I had a miscarraige had a D&C and got pregnant the next month and unfortunately miscarried that baby too and had another D&c. So it is very possible to get pregnant again. Good luck

I will be 33 in November and my fiancé just turned 33 this month. I'm holding off on any testing until my doctor thinks it's necessary. Have you had a successful pregnancy yet?
I had two d & c's after I miss carried at 13 weeks. I was told I would be more fertile in the 3-6 months after the procedure, and we got pregnant right away(second cycle trying) once we tried. The only reason it would prevent pregnancy is if it was unusually traumatic. Our ob/gyn told us the instruments they use now are much more gentle then in times past, so that prevents scarring.
I've had two MMC's and two D&C's and I'm currently pregnant again. It took longer this time to get pregnant (5 months versus 2 months for the first two times), and it's still very early days, but it is most certainly possible. The more you have the more scarring you get, but svold is right that they are MUCH gentler now than they used to be. My OB told me that after 3 your chances of getting pregnant drop slightly (just due to scar tissue).
