Anyone come across some awesome perks of being a mom besides the obvious? I type this while trying to nurse my LO to sleep in a separate room during a family function I needed a break from. It's nice to be able to get away for a little bit without being rude. It's also nice to be able to be late or leave early if I need to. I'm very much an introvert though so I'm sure this isn't a perk for some people. :P
Haha leaving family functions to feed the baby is the best. It is my biggest pet peeve when people tell me DD is hungry because she's either rooting on them or eating her hands. I know when my baby is hungry thank you very much. But, my in laws had a party and DH's aunts kept yelling "she's hungry" every time her hand even came close to her mouth. So that was my cue to scoop her out of their hands and go sit upstairs with her in a quiet room where I would pretend feed her.
The lady at Walgreens gave me some free samples from the beauty section when I told her the I had 6 week old. It was just some nail files and baby wipes and cosmetic pads. She said I needed all the pampering I could get.
