Allergies, Sore throats?

I have always been an allergy sufferer but through out pregnancy they have come and gone and I haven't had to take my allergy meds. Well, this last week I have had so much drainage my throat hurts a lot, I have a dry cough, stuffy nose, etc. Anyone else noticing an increase in this during the last trimester? I read somewhere that it's possible to have extra drainage...blah!

    I have the sore throat, but a heavy cough. Its so gross. It doesnt help that I work in a hospital..

    I have that too and I ended up having strep. If it doesnt go away soon I would go get checked by your primary care physician.

    My tonsil have also been bad, multiple cases of strep and tonsillitis a year. Since I've been pg they are always big and have tonsil stones :( Dr said to just gargle with salt water for me. It helps sort of.

    Mine isn't down my throat. Mine is sinus pressure which makes my ears feel full causing me to feel off balance. I have a Dr's appointment on Friday so if it's not gone by then I'm going to ask her about it. I hope it doesn't last till he's born. I can not wait to have my not pregnant sinuses!

    Yeah, I'm really ready for baby boy to just be here! Tired of the third tri annoyances and the wonder of what this new life will be like with baby! Come on baby Henry, don't be late!!!

    Aw @schwens3 Henry was my choice of a name for my LO until I found out it was a boy and for some reason it just didn't fit him haha now he's a Benji :)

    I'm sick and been sick for a week Thinking about going to doctor tomorrow....sore throat, itchy ears, drainage, cough etc. I'm out of breath just sitting around. If I eat or try to lay down it gets worse.

    Yes! It started out as what I think was a sinus infection but now my tonsils are really infected and my throat is extremely sore

    Well apparently it wasn't just allergies because today I totally have that cold feeling...just what I want in third trimester. I'm pretty bitchy today, no point in sugar coating :(. Hacking up your lungs while prego can have that effect.

    Mine started out as a sore throat & stuffy nose last Wednesday.. thought it was allergies because I had my maternity pictures made out in a field.. but the chills set in a couple days later, & now a hacking cough. I can barely breathe as it is but now it's awful. Oh the joys of being sick & hugely pregnant!

    I see the dr tomorrow at noon. I think I have strep throat... Anyone else been to dr yet - confirmed not allergies? Just curious

    Funny, I've been feeling sick like this since yesterday. AND the lymph glands on my throat are slightly swollen which makes me think its not allergies, YUCK!

    Weird so many of us are experiencing this!! Makes me wonder if we are just more worn down and thus more susceptible to viruses....anxious to see what people going to the doctor find out!

    @troopersmom hope you got some meds and start feeling better soon! I'm going to give it a couple days just because I don't really have a sore throat or other major symptoms.

    So after being sick this whole week and cough not going away I went to doctor. Should have gone sooner it's not allergies: it's an upper respiratory infection. Now I'm on antibiotics so hope to feel better soon! Just wanted to keep you updated and say if you haven't gone to the doctor yet, GO!

    Yeah I went to the dr yesterday and I have a sinus infection and fluid build up in both ears which makes me dizzy. On antibiotics now so I should be better soon!
