Lactation Recipes and Postpartum Fitness

Hello my dears!
I know everyone here is anxiously awaiting their little ones, I am in a state of plan, plan, plan/ get really excited plan some more.
So i've started to jump the gun on every aspect. I've started preparing a notebook/binder of postpartum workouts and lactation recipes. Not only that but i've looked up quick and easy breastfeeding friendly meals, Needless to say i'm in becoming a mommy "hyperdrive". Is anyone else preparing things like this? or have i completely lost my mind? (which is a pretty strong option right now)

I try not too plan too much for post-baby, since I have so much to do before she even gets here. With that said you aren't hurting anyone and it's building your confidence so keep on keeping on.

As far as post-baby goes I'm going back into my Beachbody workouts as soon as the doctor gives me the green light, as I've seen a lot of women benefit from them after baby. I coach and miss doing programs with my friends. :)

  • I think what you are doing to completely normal, especially for first time moms.
I did so much planing and learning for DS. So long as the planning is not stressing you out or disturbing you life, go for it.

My old English teach is a Beachbody coach and told me she will help me get back in shape after my baby gets here.. I'm in pretty decent shape I'm just a little chunky...

Awesome! The organization can be a little cult-y but the workouts and meal guides are awesome. The containers are annoying but the best way to learn portion control. I'm sure your teacher will do a great job helping you pick out a workout you love. :)

I was going to the 21 day challenge with my mom but that will happen later lol I did it last year and I loved it!
  • I plan on getting back into my T25. Love me some Shaun T! I think I might go to yoga with my mom while I'm home too, or get a yoga DVD.
  • I'll be going back to my tabata, boot camp, and muscle classes. I've also been thinking about doing the 21 day challenge. My husband is a personal trainer so I have all the support and help from him :)

I haven't planned much for anything after baby comes, as I feel like it doesn't matter how much planning I do prior to, it'll never be the same once she actually gets here. The only thing I have planned and won't let anything stop me is getting me pre baby body back. Goal is to be bikini ready by next summer. As soon as my doctor gives me the green light I'll be back to my heavy lifting. Not much of my workout routine has changed (yet) since becoming pregnant except doing a little lighter weights. I plan to hit it hard again as soon as possible, even if that means getting up at 4 am to hit the gym before my BF leaves for work. I also plan on getting back to my strict meal prepping, which I think cooking that on Sunday's again and having it for the whole week will also help out with coming up with dinner plans anyway. Other than that, all my planning is right here and now, and basically just getting everything we need ready for her arrival. We'll make everything else work one way or another once she gets here.
  • I lost a good bit of baby weight with portion control, nightly walks and breastfeeding.

That being said, go for it! This is number 2 for me and the first will only be 2.5, I'm still trying to figure out when I'm supposed to shower and eat with two that young. :\">
  • Holy hell you ladies make me feel bad!! Lol god with this being my third I can hardly find the time to shower and clean and keep groceries in the house let alone go back to any kind of workout routine or take a workout class! I wish! Lol
