I've been doing a lot with hypnobirthing and curious if other moms have gone this route? Have any moms had a birth with epi and a birth with hypnobirthing n natural? What are you experiences?
I've only done natural but I did read hypnobirthing and loved it. Ironically I don't agree with hypnotizing but I absolutely loved and used the first half of the book. The belief in yourself and slow breathing and living in the moment were indispensable to me. It's totally ok to pick and choose what works best for you. You're going to do great!

Beautiful daughter Alyssa born April 23, 2011
Precious son Isaac born at 34 weeks in April 27, 2014 with Potters Syndrome Type 4 and Down Syndrome - trusted into the arms of Jesus after 3 hours.
Pregnant again! Due August 8, 2015 please be healthy, little one!
(results on 2/4/15 showed no Down's and it's a girl!)
I've been doing the hypnobabies home study course, which, from what I've read seemed to go more in depth with self-hypnosis than hypnobirthing. I really believe its going to work for me, and the whole program has really changed my outlook on birth. I'm super excited for the birth now, instead of nervous and frightened. I don't personally know anyone that has done it though.
I took the hypnobirthing class and loved it. I have a couple friends that took the course as well and each shared how they had "wonderful labour's" without any pain medication.
Im really interested in this concept. Are there any books that I could read or are there only classes?
There's Hypnobirthing, the Mongan Method. This is the book I read and it totally changed my perspective on things!! There are classes too but probably depends on your location.
Thank you ladies for all your comments! Hypnobirthing has totally changed my outlook on delivery!! I hope that I can keep what I've learned in mind, during labor! I know a few people who have used it and it's also really big at the hospital I'm delivering at! It's so educational, self empowering and has reduced my anxiety 95% (which is huge since I used to get panic attacks just thinking of labor!). Good luck with all deliveries!!
Good luck! I was planning on looking into it about 10 weeks ago and still haven't gotten around to it I'll download some stuff this week and at least get a little bit of practice in!
Hi Ladies! i did the Hypnobabies homestudy course for both my boys and i loved it. It was super easy to learn - I did most of it in my sleep! It's a little different than Hypnobirthing in that it includes a full childbirth education section (so you don't have to go to a childbirth education course and hear all about the p*in you won't have) and you get all kinds of scripts on CD that you can listen to during pregnancy and during birthing. There's a great group on babycenter (Hypnosis for Childbirth) if you have questions. Or check out my site - see my sig!
Proud mom of two boys - July 2010 and November 2013 Hypnosis made my births painless and drug-free! Check out my website to learn more: www.pickinglimes.com
