Question for preemie moms!!

My daughter was discharged from the NICU with the instructions to give her 1-2 oz of Neosure a day instead of breastmilk. That's fine and dandy, but when do you stop Neosure and switch to regular formula? I won't be able to keep up with production pretty soon, so I'll have to supplement even more. We also received a whole case of enfamil newborn formula when we registered with the hospital. I'm wondering now if she'll even be able to use that or if I should donate it.
She has another pedi appt in 2 weeks so I'll ask her pedi, but I was just curious what other preemie moms were told to do.

My preemie is on 2 feedings of newborn enfamil a day. He sucks it right down and has no problem going back to my breast or bottle feeding with breast milk. I tried getting him the enfamil- "supplement" and he hated it, so newborn it is. This is to help him put on some weight and we have been doing this for about a week and he already has put on 6 ounces!  :)
Always hold on to hope ❤

  • My son was born at 30 weeks and was on breastmilk fortified with neosure. I didnt stop it till the doctor said that he was fine with weight. Best advice is to consult your doctor.
