They say that you should wait and announce after the first trimester, buttttttt I say announce whenever you want! I've already told quite a few people and I am only 9 weeks!
I'm waiting till next week after our next ultrasound to make sure everything is good. Then I'll be publically announcing to FB which will take care of all my extended family who don't know yet.. I'll be 11 weeks by then. Whatever is comfortable for you!
I told my closest friends and some of my extended family very quickly after the BFP. After my first ultrasound at 7 weeks and seeing that our little bean is doing well, I feel less worried about telling others also. I'll be telling my team at work in August at around 11/12 weeks simply because I will have upcoming appointments that affect our schedules, and I figure why not! I know a lot of people wait until the second trimester which is totally cool, but when it comes to people you know love you and will wish you well, I see nothing wrong with telling them as soon as you want! Their happy thoughts and good vibes certainly can't hurt.
I'll be 9 weeks tomorrow. Very few people know and I plan to announce at 11.5 or 12 weeks. I would probably wait longer, but I'm having some complications that are getting more difficult to hide (like taking the rest of first tri off work).
It just depends on how you feel about announcing! If you want to, you should! I don't think there's a right or wrong time to announce. We told our immediate family and our closest friends next time we saw them in person after finding out. We will probably announce to the extended family after we get our results back from the blood genetic test just to be sure.
We told immediate family right away. Started telling others in person as well. I'm 11 wks. Won't post to fb/social media until end of first tri! Totally depends on what you are comfortable with!
We told family and a select few friends along the way because of our history of losses. Today I graduated from the RE and had a good NT scan. We announced tonight on social media with a picture.
It depends on how you feel about also telling all of those people about an MC. If you don't want to have to do that then it's recommended to wait for 12-13 weeks when your MC risk is greatly lowered. I had told a bunch of close friends and family by 8 weeks and announced on Facebook at almost 12 weeks.
I told a lot of people at 7 weeks, when I had my first US, but we haven't told social media until work is informed both SO and I. I'm 10w and 2d. I say, whenever you want to tell them, but I personally decided to keep it to just my best friend and our parents for the first few weeks until I had my first US to make sure that baby was indeed okay.
I've always told my best friend like the day I got my BFP. But we've always waited until the beginning of the second tri to tell everyone else/fb. This pregnancy however, we plan on telling my parents soon (they live out of town) and we want to wait as long as possible to tell dh's side of the family. So probably within the next couple months depending on how quickly my bump becomes noticeable with this being our third. But honestly whenever you feel comfortable announcing its your call!
My family and close friends all know, as does everyone at work (flight doc said I couldn't fly so everyone figured it out and then it spread like wildfire.) We are going to announce on social media after my 12 week appt on the third. I need to think of something cute to do!
12 weeks is the "safe" zone and when many people choose to announce Other people post their bfp with pee and all the second after the positive. Totally up to you
We found out at 4 weeks, told family and a few close friends around 6 weeks. Around 10 weeks we started openly sharing with anyone we hung out with. Work will be next Friday at 12 w 3d... But social media we are going to wait until the sex reveal! We're pretty private on social media but anyone actively in our lives will know.

I told very few people at 6 weeks in my last pregnancy, then miscarried a week later. It was harder to tell them that we lost the baby than it was to tell others that we had experienced a miscarriage. But that being said, I told a ton of people about the miscarriage. It happened at work, and on my return to work my duties had to be adjusted. In my opinion, tell everyone as soon as you are comfortable!
My mom , sisters, in-laws and some clients know. But I'm announcing to the rest after my 12 week ultrasound. I just need that second one to confirm! I will be 12 weeks 5 days. Whatever your comfortable with.

I'm 11w2d and we've told parents, siblings, and a few close friends. We will tell more family when we go on a vacation with his extended family next week. However, I haven't had an ultrasound yet, and won't until Aug 4, so we won't tell other friends until then. I won't make a social media announcement until several weeks later, because I want us to have the chance to tell lots of groups in person first.
We told family at week 8 and then started telling close friends at week 10. Not sure we'll post anything on FB.
It's all on the DL though bc I haven't told work yet. I have a difficult to fill job and I don't want my boss hearing about it from anyone but me. But in about 2 weeks (@13w) the secret will be out!
We told immediate family after our dating appt at 7w5d. A couple weeks after we told our best friends. We're waiting to tell everyone else after our first trimester screen on Wednesday (11w5d). Ideally I'd like to wait until all of the results are in but I think that'll depend on how the ultrasound looks and how long they expect the blood test results to take
