I'm due August 17th too. Definitely ready for her to come, getting to be so uncomfortable. I certainly wouldn't mind if she decided to come a little earlier!
I'm 38w2d and in no way shape or form am trying to work her out. She clearly isn't ready as I'm having no signs of labor AT ALL. She can stay in as long as she needs. Some other posters are taking it as you mistyping and asking if anyone is working until LO is out I think. If this is what you are meaning then I would edit that post on the double as you are about to get bombarded like crazy over wanting to try to get LO out early.
Edit: i'm actually on a computer today and still having typos!!
I'm right at 37 weeks tomorrow and as much as this past week has been killing me and I KNOW it's going to get worse, I have had no early signs of labor so apparently she's not ready. She will come when she's ready to come so there's no point in me trying to evict her before she's ready.
My only stipulation is not to go over 42 weeks due to an insurance change we have coming up. I'm planning to ask the doctor to induce if she goes up to 42 weeks which would be 3 or 4 days before my insurance changes and I do NOT want to have to figure out at the last second that my new plan covers my doctor, hospital, all that jazz.
If you're set on trying to work your LO out, be sure to consult you doctor first. The general take on pregnancy is that 37 weeks is NOT full term. There is still some development going on in the womb.
while I would love for her to make her entrance NOW, I am 36 weeks and 5 days along in this journey...and I know she's fine right where she is.
I am still working 40 hours a week, albeit from home mostly (100% lucky I have the opportunity to do so). And will probably work up until I go into labor.
hang in there. soon enough she'll be out. (that little pep talk was more for me than anyone else)
Hand in face!!!!!! Not another one.... I was just going to make a thread about how I lost my mucus plug with blood last night & literally just lost a crap load more. I've lost it without the blood at maybe 26 weeks so it Regenerated. So as most know I'm in the hospital until I have LO, so I told my nurse about it & followed up with, so it can still grow back?!?! I got a big fat no..... Got checked & I'm 4cm. I am doing everything in my power to keep her in there despite my health as long as she's not in distress. I told them if my waters don't break to stop all contractions and here I sit at 38 weeks. What is up with everyone rushing their babies???? Things will happen when they're ready. But see even though my body is doing stuff now she's not TERM
Re: Due Aug. 17.
Lol
Edit: to clarify both points, I am also still working 40 hours a week and will be until my water breaks.
