My water has always been broken for me at the hospital so I'm curious - if your water broke naturally (before the hospital) when and where were you? I hear from so many people that they had just gone to the bathroom. Because of that I'll confess that every time I wake up MOTN I pray my water doesn't break haha!
When yours broke was it a slow leak or a gush? At the time or even in retrospect did you notice anything off? Like was the baby especially active or quieter? Had you had a longer day? So many questions bc I'm just very curious

Re: If your water broke naturally
Earlier that day I wasn't feeling great but my office was SUPER hot and I just attributed it to sitting in the heat for so long. I was about 1+ cm dialiated at the time but not having any noticeable contractions. Thankfully I went home a little early and was able to nap for the afternoon because little did I know I'd be up all night!
DS - Broke when I was putting on mascara. Something kinda like Niagara falls.
DD1 - Broke when I got up to pee in the middle of the night. I had a pop sensation and then it steadily poured out over the next few hours.
DD2 - Pop sensation while showering that morning but nothing came out. Contractions started soon after and when I went to the hospital I was informed that somehow somewhere my water had broken. I am assuming my water broke in the shower but was a very small leak.
I jumped out of bed like a ninja (a very pregnant ninja), and rushed to the bathroom thinking I just peed on myself. I was standing in front of the toilet when a huge gush came out. 15 mins later, another one. Followed by a smaller one 10 mins later while taking a shower to clean up. I lost my mucous plug when the contractions began after my shower. I didn't have anymore gushes after that but contractions were 2.5 mins apart from there on out. Not fun.. Lol.
Curious to see how this plays out this time.. My family has a history of being niagra falls producers when it comes to water breaking
(it was a full moon that night)
I had a shower quickly & left after an hour for L&D. Contractions started about an hour and a half after my water broke. DD was born at half 11 in the morning.
Since my water had broken they didn't check my cervix as often as they normally would though to prevent infection.
Two of my friends had labor start the same way and their doctors immediately started them on pitocen, so maybe it's the doctors/ hospitals preference?
