Too cute!
I have not bought a single thing for baby. I was given diapers, a diaper bag, and a couple of outfits from people. My shower isn't until September, and I don't want to buy anything until then. Also, I'm having a boy, and I bet I would be a little more clothes crazy if I was having a girl.
The day after I found out I was having a girl I went shopping. I love dresses and little leggings. And she already has two pairs of baby vans. My little girl is going to be in style and oh so sassy!
I am finding it harder to shop for my daughter than I did for my son. There are so many more options! Also why are little girl socks so hard to find where I live?!?! I need long sleeved dresses to be available like yesterday.
I keep seeing outfits I want to buy. I went the week after I found out I was having a girl and sold all of DS's old clothes to Once Upon a Child and bought DD a bunch of stuff, I hardly need anything. But Carters has all these cute things with owls and dachshunds plus they've got some girl stuff with camo print, so DD could match her big bro when he wears his camo shirt . . .
As for socks, I have about a million pairs. My husband's coworker's fiancé passed along a bunch of socks and hats for us, on top of all the neutral ones I saved.
I'm on a kick making headbands now, too. DD will have at least 7.
I may need an intervention on all things baby. I ordered the first baby stuff last night. Now I'm scouring Target, Babies R Us, Etsy, Zulily, and ThredUp for all things baby related. This might be a problem.....
Thankfully I haven't gone crazy just yet, but I'm window shopping like a madwoman. I know as soon as I pull the trigger on the first buy any sense of self control is all over :P
My shower isn't for a couple weeks, so other than a few cute onesies I haven't bought much for DS. Yet. Once the shower is over, the nursery is painted and the furniture is set up, I know I'll have a problem. And while the girl clothes are so adorable, I've been eyeing just about everything with robots, dinosaurs or spaceships.
I'm having a really hard time not buying anything I see. Most stores are starting to get their fall clothing in and I want everything! I feel perfectly justified spending $20 on a sweater I know he will outgrow in the blink of an eye.
If I were having a girl, she'd have tons of froo froo socks and headbands. I'm having a boy and I have certainly bought him a lot too! Anything I see with an elephant on it, I buy or want to buy. I don't know why but I LOVE elephants and baby boy stuff. I have a huge bag of baby boy clothes too and haven't even had my shower yet...
I got them on Zulily, but they should have them on Amazon and other websites. Trumpette was the only brand of socks that would stay on my other babies' feet!
