Anyone else hate calling the doctor? I just left a message because I haven't felt any movement for day and a half. I just cringe when I have to do it. I feel like the nurses just get these calls all day long and we all seem overly paranoid to them. Ugg.... I just hate it.
Re: Anyone else hate calling the doctor?
But you're concern is not silly. Not at all. You need to make sure they return your call within an hour and call again or check in at Labor and Delivery. Movement is serious and they should take your concern very seriously. Call again, get answers.
If they don't call back, you can always pop intol L&D. I did that after not feeling little ones movements for 12 hours. I was stressed, so was he. They put me on a machine and it turns out he was wrigling around like a worm! Turns out that my stress was preventing me from feeling his little subtle movements!

I actually just called them this morning for the same reason; last night and this morning baby was much less active than normal. I was feeling some movement, but not nearly as much as I had been all day yesterday. I also have had super swollen feet for two days (but no other signs of pre-e) and was having more frequent round ligament pain than I had before. I felt much better after talking to the nurse, and she suggested that I drink something sugary and count the movements I have in the next 2 hours, then to call back if I didn't have at least 10 movements in those 2 hours. Sure enough, I drank some orange juice and baby was kicking away within 30 minutes.
I hope all turns out ok for you!
Keep us updated, thinking of you and baby!
