Oh My ...

Does anyone else feel like the baby in on their way down? I have so much pressure, along with the feeling I was repeatedly kicked in my lady parts. This girl is not due until August 19th.

Re: Oh My ...

  • It is normal for babies to drop around this time. Once this happens you will feel more pressure and such lower since the baby themself is now so much lower.

  • My baby girl is very low as well. Some days I can feel her moving behind my public bone. Her dropping doesn't mean you won't make it to your due date though. I'm not even a cm dilated and my baby dropped nearly 3 weeks ago.
  • I don't feel a lot of kicks down there anymore but I def feel firework sensations and heaviness down there. Sometimes it's so intense it's like oh man, I better stop walking and just stand here a minute or two! My little girl is due August 29th! My doc recommended a support band to lift the baby up a bit to relieve some pressure but for me, it's just not practical with my job.
  • I'm due August 19th too and I have the same feelings.

Yep. Especially today, I am all sorts of uncomfortable and sore, and feel like some of my muscles have been pulled or strained.
  • What's worse, the baby dropping or being really high? My baby is so high at night sometimes I feel like I am going to puke him up. It's so so hard to breathe too lol but I can't imagine the lower pressure could be any better? I'm due Aug 23. I'm 1 cm dilated but haven't dropped or anything like that. I still have awhile to go though!
  • This baby hasn't dropped yet and I'm not going to lie, it's been really nice. Knock on wood...

  • My lil man has dropped. I feel his hiccups in my butt. Talk about a strange, strange feeling.....

Agreed!! Lol I just discussed this with my doc yesterday! Haha

Me too... I thought I was going crazy!! :-)
  • @eknapp02 I was so thankful when she finally dropped!! I'm having some pressure/pain now, but I will take that over the lung pressure any day! I couldn't stand the feeling of not being able to breath and not being able to do anything about it.
  • So much pressure but seriously can't tell if I have dropped or not. a couple weeks ago I started feeling pressure on my pelvis but I really can't tell. my belly is in my lap but i can't remember if it always has been or not.. one thing for sure though I am definitely getting underbelly sweat where my belly lays on my thighs *sigh* lol
  • In the middle of the night one night I stood up and bam I thought his head was right at the opening, I panicked called my doctor and he was laughing! Ever since the hiccups feel exactly as PP say... in my butt!!! Some days it's worse the pressure then other days. Hang in there!!
  • I've had this feeling since about 33 weeks. I'm now 38 weeks. The pressure has been intense and baby girl loves punching me in the cervix. Occasionally, I get sharp lightning crotch pains as well. I swear, every time I bend over or squat, I feel like my waters are going to bust! She's still hanging in there with no signs of coming out anytime soon!

My pregnancy with my son was completely different. He was always way up high in my ribs. He never did drop and I could barely breathe my last trimester with him!

  • Both my boys were higher, this one feels so much lower. I swear I feel like my waters are going to explode every day. It's just so...right there. I feel like a water balloon waiting to pop in my crotch.
