Early us

in March 2016 Moms
had an ultrasound today at 5w4d but measuring at 5w. They only saw a gestational sac. I was curious what your experience has been with us that early?

    That's normal at that stage! Things will change and you should be hearing/seeing that heart beat very soon.

    @babybonbons16 I had the same experience and panicked! I thought I was 10 days further along, but turns out I was only 5w 1 day, so it was just gestational and yolk sac. I went back 5 days later and there was a baby and a heartbeat! Don't get discouraged or upset. I wish I hadn't let myself get upset. I also wish I had been more patient and waited longer for the first ultrasound!

    It is so incredibly difficult to be patient and wait for these things :)

    Also, at 5w6d, when I had my U/S, the tech said the heart had JUST formed and started pumping. It was hard to even hear. They're so tiny and new, so it can be difficult to see/hear!

    I had an ultrasound at 5 weeks just to make sure everything was ok before I left for a trip and we could only see the sack too.

    I had a u/s at what i thought was 6w2d but measured at 5w4d. Only gestational sac. I have a followup on monday 7w4d and there had better be something to see!

    @BabyBonbons16 yup at week 4 and a half week we saw only the sac then yesterday we saw the baby and the heartbeat:) I am at 6w3d I know it seems impossible to wait but it's totally worth to wait:) by the way we measure the embryo and hear the heartbeat 10 days later we first saw the gestational and yolk sac. So 10 days seems far away but you can't believe the changes between just the week 4 and a half and 6!

    At 5 weeks they told me I was measuring more like 4 and could only see the gestational sac and possibly the beginning of the yolk sac. I went back 13 days later and we saw a heartbeat!

    That happened to me with my first pregnancy. Are little peanuts are developing super fast right now so I think its totally normal. I think if you have another one in a week or so you would be able to a baby and the heartbeat!
