Funny well-meaning uninformed friend

My best friend from college is visiting today. She doesn't have any kids and doesn't want any for a long time. As a result she doesnt understand much about pregnancy. Today I was telling her that the baby is sitting REALLY low and I was having a lot of pelvic pressure/pain. Now she is convinced the baby is coming today xD. She doesn't really understand that nothing can really predict when labor is coming beyond your water breaking or regular strong contractions. She means well I just think it's really silly.

  • Lol some ppl just don't know anything about pregnancy i guess.. Ex: i mentioned to my step sister how DS was still breech a few weeks ago and she had no idea what that even meant or that babies ideally *should* be head down before labor. Shes 27.

    Blessed  <3o:)
  • My sister has also never had any children and for some reason, although I keep telling her otherwise, she thinks I get an ultrasound at every doctor appointment. She always asks for pictures of the baby. Lol.

  • I always tell people to read birth boards on the Bump just because you assimilate so much knowledge and hopefully common sense!

  • My sweet adorable Husband said he wanted me to get my cervical check today because "what if we get to deliver?" Omg so cute.

Surprisingly, my MIL thought the same thing.
  • Wishful thinking.

I told my fried with 2 kids that I was finger-tip dilated and now she is convinced the baby is coming any day. Good thing I am not as impatient as she is!

Haha yesterday while having lunch with DH and his boss, his boss made sure to inform me that I'm totally unprepared for my home birth hahaha he was trying to convince DH to build stirrups and that we needed to lay down towels to be prepared. Haha I was trying to so hard not to laugh, especially after he proceed to tell me that my LO will probably come next week. Haha I'm just like dude you're definitely not my midwife and have no idea what preparations I've made lol
  • Thats OK, this is my 2nd child and my hubby is convinced I won't make it all the way to my due date, because it must be wrong because i'm huge. Mind you I've only gained 35 lbs and i was not big to begin with, he's just an ass. My pregnancy has been right on target all along and i have 5 weeks to go. He's going to be in for a shocker when he sees how big I can get by the end.
  • When showing my MIL our 20week anatomy scan profile shot, she asked, "I just don't get it... How can they tell its a girl from this?" :-?
  • My DH though a pack of diapers would last a month.. Lol silly you. Try a few days! He knows nothing about babies. So I'm sure this will be very entertaining to watch him with my sweet little one. :x

One of my friends asked me if I'm sure I'm not having twins. She knows how self conscious I am! I'm sure she didn't mean it in a bad way, but it did hurt my feelings.
