My husband and I love this name - in my first pregnancy with my son my husband could not be serious about choosing a name - giving suggestions like "Rambo!!", oh dear right! But this time around he really loves the name Everson for our baby girl. I'm torn on how to spell it. Typically Everson is a boys name but I have seen it spelled Eversyn for a girl. What do you ladies think?
So I'm not usually a fan of adding the letter Y to a name that doesn't normally have it in it, but Eversyn does seem more femine. I could go either way though.
Emerson is a male name that some people use on girls and think a Y is cute (not suggesting it but it's the only close thing I can think of in regards to this). I have never heard of Everson for anyone and it sounds made up, like a spin on the trendy Everly. If it's the name you are sold on I would do Everson. No need to add random Y's ever.

I think it comes down to how you want it pronounced. I would say EverSON (Everson) or EverSIN (Eversyn) if I ever came across the name on my roster before meeting the child.
Don't change the spelling. Leave it how it is traditionally spelled (even though it does sound made up). My best friend named her dd Emerson and did not change it to the "y" spelling thank goodness!
I think it would depend on how you want to pronounce it. Do you want the end to sound like "son" or "sin"? IF you end up not liking the Y, you could always see how you like Eversen. Good Luck! These things can be nerve wracking.
This, how do you want it pronounced? Because I would pronounce it differently based on the Y. I'm honestly not sure how to even pronounce it now. I do not like the way it looks with a y though.
In my opinion Eversyn is a hop skip and jump away from an awesome burlesque performer's name Please welcome Miss Kiki EverSyn to the stage and get ready to feel Syn-ful!!! (Yes, I hang out with a lot of burlesque performers so that is where my mind goes quickly when I see names I want to steal and save for later )
Not sure what you're trying to insinuate, but it's English. Apparently means "from the boar meadow". Not sure what that has to do with any argument.
https://www.babynames.com/name/EVERLY. Everson, on the other hand, has no listing. What it DOES have is a coat of arms if you google, because it's a last name.
I would go with Everson, if you go with this name. I agree with others..,the trend of adding the random "y" to a name to make it different is crazy. Any name anyone has ever used will be found on Baby Center; I wouldn't consider that a real resource.
