8 week old not eating as much

My LO is 8 weeks old today and for the last 2-3 days she hasn't been eating as much as usual. She was averaging about 24 oz a day (formula) and now I'm struggling to get her to take 18 oz. She's also wanting to sleep a LOT more.

Anyone else experience this around the 8 week mark??

    Mine did the same thing for a day at 8 weeks and then he woke up starving and ate twice as much just for one feed!

    Same. My daughter is 8 weeks and two days. Doesn't seem to want as much food and is sleeping all the time! She is happy when awake though so I guess it's ok? A little worried about too much sleep cause that's what we do.

    Sounds just like my LO! I guess it's normal...maybe having something to do with wonder weeks?

    My LO did the same and as PP mentioned, I think it might have to do with a big mental development leap. Do you have the Wonder Weeks app? It explains that around this time babies develop a sense of patterns (both visually and within their bodies). This was when my LO started sleeping through the night and therefore skipping one to two feedings, but wasn't making up for them during the day. He just wanted to be held and snuggled and sleep.

    I do have the app and kind of thought it might have something to do with it! Thanks for all the input! Just wanted to hear that others were experiencing it :)
