My cousin had her first naturally at 34 weeks and used castor oil with her second child at 36 weeks. Both children were healthy with no issues and did not go to NICU; however, she said her child that she induced using castor oil at 36 weeks was an awful labor. She said she would never recommend it unless you are up for a VERY difficult labor & deliver. She said her first child whose water broke on his own only took 6 hours to deliver and her second was about 30 hours. Again, it worked, but I wouldn't want to be up for 30 hours straight in labor. Talk to your doctor and see what they would recommend if you are wanting to naturally induce.
