Swelling!!!

Hey there!
Just wondering if anyone is having similar symptoms.

I'm 33 wks and baby is measuring 3 wks early consistently on US.
This is my third pregnancy and I had pre-eclampsia with my first pregnancy at 37 wks and delivered.
I have trace proteinuria and my BP is not alarmingly elevated. 120/80-90 range. It did elevate to 140/90 and I was sent to L&D, followed by a 24 hour urine collection that was all normal (this was a month ago).

Now for about 6 days I've been gaining weight like crazy. No dietary changes. Decreased my salt intake to almost none. I am having headaches daily. I will see my doc on Tues but so far no pre-eclampsia.

Anyone have any similar experiences or thoughts to add?

    I would call your Dr to ask if you should be seen sooner or if they want to wait until your appt. with your history of pre-e and what you describe, better safe than sorry.

    Thanks guys! I left the part out that I saw my doc yesterday and I just completed another 24 hour urine - waiting on results now.
    Also, I'm checking my BP frequently. I gained 9 lbs in a wk by their measurements. My dipped Urine showed trace protein.
    I'm just wondering how common this excessive swelling without pre-e is. This did not happen with my two previous pregnancies.

    I think it really varies and there are so many things that can come into play with it. With my DS, my feet were insane, like scary to look at. This pregnancy they have not been as bad but I am also a SAHM this time around where as last pregnancy I was working a LOT of hours and so I was obviously on my feet a lot more. I think it can also depend on how much sodium you are consuming, what the weather is like (are you inside or out more), how much water you are drinking, etc....but swelling can be very common even without pre-e. Hopefully you get good news from your test.

    My sister just had her baby a week ago. She had higher BP throughout and tons of swelling. Did multiple 24 urine catches and never developed pre-e so it is possible. However with your history I would be concerned.

    I've gained about 25 pounds in the last month- all fluid. My docs say my swelling is "impressive" and they feel so badly for me! BUT, my BP has been normal, though starting to creep up and I've have zero protein in my urine. I'm measuring 3 weeks ahead (I'm currently 37+2 measuring 40). They're concerned I may turn pre-e and are almost shocked I haven't with the level of swelling I have. They ran a full blood panel yesterday and everything is normal. That being said doc said if I could manage to go into labor on my own in the next week it would be a very good thing! Otherwise they are talkng inducing at 39 weeks.
