Ways to combat bloating?

I've tried to search around online for solutions to bloating but mostly found 'have the baby', so I realize it's part of pregnancy but it is really uncomfortable so I'm wondering if anyone has found something that has helped them out. I'm just about 12 weeks and can't tell how much is baby vs bloat (it's all hard) but mostly, feeling uncomfortable which makes it hard to eat more food. Thank you! I decided to take a small dose of pepto last night because I was in such pain (pretty sure I over-ate) and now I'm seeing I shouldn't have (the label didn't say a thing) so I'm feeling guilty on top of it.

  • Smaller meals, and see if there any foods that make it worse. I can't eat a normal size meal without feeling awful, so I'm eating half portions now with snacks between.

  • Water, water, water, water. Drinking water always helps with bloat and can help keep things moving through your GI track. Stay away from salt as much as possible and no artificial sweeteners. This has helped me a ton. I know everyone here is still in the exhaustion phase of pregnancy, but if you can stay active as much as possible, that will help move the gas through your system.

  • Awesome thank you!
  • Smaller meals and walking have been helpful for me. I find the more active I am the better I feel, but some days I can only muster up a breif walk. Hope it helps :)

All the water! Smaller meals and a little yogurt every morning. Plus try taking a prenatal the is all food based. Those have made a huge difference for me. I was massive with my daughter due to belly bloat but since changing it up this pregnancy, I'm smaller than I was my first pregnancy and I'm smaller than I was a couple weeks ago. Bloat is almost gone!
  • Try Natural Calm. It's a magnesium supplement. I didn't know about it my first pregnancy and had terrible bloat. I haven't had any problems with it this pregnancy at all.
