Stressed about being stressed

I'm 7 weeks pregnant and feeling so much stress and anxiety but since I know how vital it is to not be stressed I'm worrying myself sick over the affects of this to the baby... Is anyone else feeling this way? If so what are you doing to ease your mind

Worrying a lot, but trying to keep telling myself everything is going normally.

Also remind yourself everyone worries!  You aren't the only one with the anxiety.  Just try to keep it in check. Light exercise helps-- walks outside while the weather is good.  And remember you are a whole person, not just a pregnant person. Read books unrelated to pregnancy, catch up with friends who have a lot of news (they will have so much to talk about that you won't feel you are hiding your news), keep up with existing hobbies, etc.

  • I have been using any free thinking time I have to plan what i want to do to my house to get ready for the baby. I have drawn up complex plans to rebuild a garage bench. measure the soon to be nursery. I got a new non-pregnancy book and I go to the gym.

  • I think chronic stress is bad for baby... Try to remember to keep yourself heathy and relax! I enjoy reading, pedicures and watching silly shows and/or movies to take my mind off things and worrying :)
  • I threw myself into work and worked all the time. The distraction helped me from pregnancy stress. I could manage work stress.
