My 8 week old cries a lot from gas and when over tired. It makes getting out difficult. She also has trouble sleeping around people talking as the voices make her stay awake. She can really fight sleep. Everyone keeps telling me to just let her cry. I hate letting her cry. She screams and turns beet red and chokes herself. I refuse to let this happen. I feel its wrong. She's a newborn with no way of helping herself. My mother-in-law, mom, sisters, all keep telling me to let her cry. Am I wrong to not believe in doing so? What can I tell them to make them understand?
Re: Letting baby cry
Tell them to mind their own business because this is YOUR baby. You are absolutely right to feel that she is too young because she IS TOO YOUNG to leave her to cry. She's crying because she's in pain so why would anyone ignore that??
She won't always cry so just power through until she gets past this.
Babies aren't always in pain when crying , if you have done all you can do you have to realize there sometimes is nothing you can do
