  Have you had a prior c-section? I'm just trying to gauge your experience with c-section pain. I'm planning a tubal ligation during my upcoming c-section. I have had two prior c-sections and this is the first time I am hearing about significant pain with a tubal during a c-section.

  This^^, ok so I have to ask, @SLang2 how are you handling the fact that you'll have a 3rd c-sec? I'm going to have my 3rd as well and I'm freaking out lol, but back on topic I too am planning to have a tubal but not sure how it goes in conjunction with a c-sec

  @MamaMandy2015 I am OK with a 3rd c-section, I know nothing different. I laboured for 19 hours with my first and that really sucked so I was more than OK with choosing a c-section for my second to avoid labour ending in a c-section. 
  Both of my kids had some breathing issues after the c-section and went to NICU so  because of that I was considering a VBA2C's if I was having a third. Unfortunately, due to some other health issues that came along I am not given that option and knew before I got pregnant that it wouldn't be an option, so I have just accepted it.
  I had really good recoveries from my 2 c-sections, which I think also helps me not be too concerned about it. It was just this post indicating that a tubal made the pain worse that concerned me, I haven't heard that from anyone who has had a tubal with a c-section.
  Why are you freaking out so much? Did you not have very good recoveries before?

  @SLang2 my first I was induced for about 36 hours but never dialated past 1cm and that was at 41 weeks. My second was an automatic csec but that one ended up with the entire incision site breaking open that same night and the new doc I was seeing came in and said "oh just let it bleed out a little, there's no reason to re do the stitches and staples, it will heal" in hindsight I should've spoken up but kept quiet because I was young and scared. I ended up with an infection with 3x weekly trips to the wound care center for debridement of it and wore a wound vac for 6 months. Unfortunately that same doc (who was new to the office I went to) also performed another csec the same day and that young girl (18) passed away the next day due to complications from her csec, then 2 weeks later the doc that did our csecs just *poor* disappeared...
  I just wonder how other mom's prepare or handle having multiple csecs, I should be a pro at this by now haha

  I am also thinking about a tubal but I always delivered naturally. This is my third pregnancy so we are done after this one but I'm just debating bc I have heard it causes so much pain? I don't know how to rate the pain I guess.

  @MamaMandy2015 that experience sounds absolutely horrible!!!! No wonder you are freaking out about another c-section. Try to stay positive, your experience is probably 1 in a Million and hopefully won't repeat itself. But should it repeat itself or something happen you are uncomfortable with you should always advocate for yourself. (Easier said, then done, I know). Keep in mind my c-sections and overall recovery were very good and it is possible, so just believe you will have an experience more like mine this time. Good luck and best wishes!!

  @emmamaddi3 I don't know what the pain would be like if you don't do it as part of a c-section. I have heard it could be painful. I think having all the adrenaline from just having a baby helps us c-section mama's get through our recoveries faster and easier than a general surgery. If you are delivering naturally, why not consider other birth control methods or having your spouse have a vasectomy. It is much less invasive then a tubal, and the results of reversal (should you ever choose) are better.

  Hi Ladies! I had my tubal done as a separate surgery after my second csection. I remember waking up in more pain than I ever experienced with either csection, but thought it was because it was laparoscopic and the gas was still built up. Not sure if our tubes can actually 'hurt'? Check with your Doctor for sure.
  
  Years later I had it reversed and now scheduled for 3rd csection next Friday. Not to change the subject but wondering what your thoughts are on VBAC after all that surgery. I was so sure I wanted csection (first was also induced labor for 36 hours that ended in section) but for some reason at the very last minute I can't stop considering VBAC. Thanks Ladies for any opinions... am I crazy?

  @mamaz3 I too wanted a VBAC but the doc said no way, too many complications could happen such as rupturing, tearing muscles, etc. So why risk it he said, I said I'd rather feel the ring of fire then a feel like I was on fire from a csec lol but he still wouldn't do it. I suggest consulting with your doctor and asking, the most They will say is no but there are a lot of things to consider, and in the end I didn't push (haha) it too hard with him, because I trust his judgement on it.
