Hi ladies,
I plan on asking my doctor about this when they open tomorrow, but wonder if anyone else has experienced this (haven't seen anything similar posted). I've had some pretty long ultrasounds this week. My AS on Monday and a fetal echo today. Both times, the baby wasn't cooperating and both technicians pushed a lot all around my belly and pretty deep into it. It freaking hurt. Today in particular, the technician kept pushing really deep on my lower right side - sort of where the appendix is. When he was pushing really deep, I'd get a momentary cramp on my back. If he stopped pushing it would stop.
Well now it's been a few hours, and I have a dull pain that comes and goes on that same side. Could it be bruised? I'm worried about appendicitis but from Dr Google it sounds like that's more of a pain that keeps getting worse. Mine comes and goes as sort of a pang on the site where he was pushing a lot. Anyone experience anything like this after ultrasounds? I really hope it's not an infection of sorts...
Re: Pain on lower right side after ultrasound
Maybe lay on a heating pad tonight?
I have weekly abdominal and transvaginal ultrasounds and the past few weeks have felt very sore afterwards. Cramping from transvaginal and soreness in my lower abdomen from the abdominal, sometimes more on one side than the other.
I asked my doctor last appointment if this was normal and he said absolutely- right now our muscles and ligaments are stretching so much due to the growing baby. Add in the poking, prodding and pressing and voila..aches and pains! Plus my little guy loves to sit low and burrow into my pelvis..
