Hello! I found out last Monday that I'm about 9 weeks pregnant, and my husband&I have our first OBGYN appointment tomorrow morning.
We'd been TTC for 5 years. I have Crohn's disease, and my husband was diagnosed with MFI. We went to infertility doctors and, after much decision making, decided to adopt a child this March. We'd been doing paperwork and fundraising and all of that stuff, and totally not really thinking about TTC anymore. Last Monday I went to the hospital to have a routine surgical procedure, and they always do a pregnancy test beforehand. My nurse comes back in to tell me my HCG was positive. My response? "Why?" Lol.
They stat drew more blood work for me (another HCG with titer), and after 3 more tests they all came back positive; with a titer of 172,733! Wow!
According to the preliminary guesses from my medical staff, I'm about 9 weeks right now and thus due sometime in February. Like I said, we have our first OBGYN appointment and ultrasound tomorrow, so wish us luck!
Also just seeing if there's anyone else on here with a chronic illness?
