i had my 12 week ultrasound yesterday and the tech was pressing realllly hard- it was a bit uncomfortable during and today I'm sore there. This is my third pregnancy and I've never had this happen and while i feel fine, my anxiety prone mind is worrying a bit. Anyone else have a similar experience so I can stop obsessing that baby was somehow hurt even though I completely trust people at my OB office?
I think I know what you're talking about, for like a day after my midwife pushes in with the Doppler (she did it for a while so we could record the HB for DH who couldn't make the appt) and the same thing after I had my NT scan, I definitely felt some soreness and even some crampiness. I didn't bleed and it didn't feel "uh oh" severe so I just waited it out, drank a lot of water, and felt fine the next day. Maybe call the office and see if Tylenol would be a good idea to give you some relief?
Haha I worried the same thing (although no pain after) so when she was done I asked if she could lightly check the baby's heartbeat just one more time! My husband said that was just me being crazy like usual.
I wouldn't worry about it. I hear it's normal, though never experienced it from an ultrasound. I've had a version before ( where the doctor man handles your breached baby/belly and shoves them into a different place) and even that didn't hurt the baby!
