16 weeks & don't feel pregnant..

Hi guys I'm Cassie, I'm 23 years old, born and raised in Oregon. This is my second child, and I'm 16 weeks and 2 days. But I don't feel pregnant at all.. I can feel my uterus just below my belly button but nothing.. All my symptoms are gone, & I'm kind of freaking out, I don't see my dr until the 10th of August. Has this ever happened to you? Is it normal?

Re: 16 weeks & don't feel pregnant..

  • The coming and going of symptoms has no bearing on the health of your pregnancy. It is actually very common as you can see by checking out the search function.

  • I am 16w tomorrow, outside of sciatica and being tired, I've had zero symptoms. Definitely nothing that makes me feel pregnant.

I would say no news is good news in this case and unless you have anything alarming going on, baby is good.
  • Yep, same over here & like the girl above me. Little sciatica pain & just fatigue. Sitting in bed right now, and too funny I was thinking the same thing before opening The bump (that I don't feel pregnant at all). Enjoy it, we never know what symptoms & adventures lie ahead. :-) we will be wishing for these boring weeks again haha

FTM here and I have been excessively worrying over this as well. . I had bad nausea till yesterday and suddenly today it's gone.. I never really felt pregnant so As much as I hated the nausea it was the only thing that connected me to the baby and now it's gone... I'm really worried .. Is it common for a persistent symptom to suddenly disappear ?
  • I feel the same as you all.  FTM as well.  I had nausea almost every evening until last week but then it went away.  I hated the nausea but it was a sign that I was pregnant, which I liked.  Now I don't have anything particularly significant or definitively attributable to the baby.  I guess this is the part I'm supposed to enjoy and feel lucky that I don't have anything annoying going on.  As I'm sure with everyone, I'm really looking forward to the anatomy scan (Aug 10 for me too) and feeling this popcorn sensation I hear so much about.  Hang in there, ladies!

  • I've had zero symptoms. I'm 16 wks, the whole thing doesn't feel real. I hope I don't get morning sickness at the end of pregnancy instead - it sounded horrible!
  • Thank you guys! Definitely makes me feel better! I just don't remember this with my son.. But I guess it's probably because with my son my pregnancy was a breeze, with this one I have been dizzy this whole time and passed out about 10 times and the last time I passed out I started convulsing so it's strange to feel normal, I'm just gonna enjoy it. Thanks everyone!
  • Haha I feel the same way. 13 weeks pregnant and have zero symptoms (knock on wood), not to mention I bought size 0 jeans yesterday and they are kind of loose in the waist. People don't believe me when I tell them I'm prego. I'm actually excited to start showing.

  • I'm 16weeks tomorrow and have had ZERO symptoms! At first, I kinda felt like I was getting ripped off, but I'm so thankful now that I had nothing! Had a moment of a heart attack on Monday at my dr appointment! He had some trouble finding the heartbeat and I panicked! But he wasn't worried at all cause we could hear the swooshing of movement so the doc said if it's moving, there's a heartbeat! Got to schedule the anatomy scan! Gonna find out if we will be buying tutus or footballs on August 20! I'm getting super excited to see what baby looks like! Last time I saw it was army first confirmation appointment and it looked like a blob!

Sorry, turned that into about me! Don't worry about no symptoms! We should be happy we had/have no bad symptoms! Like I said, my only symptom that I'm knocked up is no period! And I'm definitely not complaining about that!!
  • I had zero symptoms from 13 - 18 weeks or so last time. Stressed me out but this time I'm just trying to enjoy the post-nausea/exhaustion pre-giant unwieldy body phase. Love it while it last! It's great to have a time when you feel pretty normal.

  • @mosco14 you have the same feelings as me!!!!
  • For the most part I no longer have any symptoms. I've had ultrasounds and I'm starting to show, but it still doesn't seem real. In a couple weeks when I start feeling movement it'll seem more real to me.
