Nervous DH!

I knew DH was nervous of something happening today when he actually offered to drive me to my NST appointment. He never comes with me if it's just an NST. Then he started packing an overnight bag for our son in case I was admitted and grandma had to come get him! I just smiled and laughed to myself. Our house is a mess and I have been stressing about getting everything done but he just keeps saying it will get done. He has one strange feeling that I am not coming home without an outside baby and he jumps into action!

Sounds like you have a sweet hubby who is ready for baby to arrive when he or she make there appearance.

My husband is the same was! He gets all geared up when I have an appointment or a Braxton hicks contraction. It's like he is in " ready set go" mode. He has discussed in detail his role in the getting to the hospital and getting our son off to a friends house.

I have to say I find it quite charming that he is so ready make me fell less stressed.

  • My husband isn't really nervous, but I've find it sweet how much he pays attention at our birthing classes, and he's been after me to make sure my hospital bag is packed. He's been so calm and supportive, and he's really matured through this process. I'm just hoping he deals with the stress in the delivery room as well! :-)
  • My husband says he is ready but keeps saying that he hopes it is next week. Well now that I found out at my last appointment that baby's head is engaged and I was having early contractions I just couldn't tell, he has realized that it could be anytime
  • My husband is the same! I got sent for an NST after my appointment last week. My husband flipped out so bad, he literally jumped on his motorcycle without any gear (helmet, gloves, jacket), it started pouring rain, he ran red lights, and almost wrecked to get to the hospital.. i tried telling him it was jus for monitoring, but he flipped out anyway. My hero. Altho I'd prefer he wore his safety gear and not almost joined me at the hospital as a patient! lol. He's now convinced something is wrong because I was sent for monitoring and this week a biophysical ultrasound.
  • My husband got that way this weekend when I went to the hospital to get monitored (I thought baby wasn't moving enough - she's fine). Before we left he put dishes in the dishwasher and ran it and also made sure the cats had enough food. I didn't say anything but I know he was thinking the baby might arrive and was prepping the house.
