UGH bloating

6 weeks 4 days...and I think it's just being self conscious about trying to keep the secret...but I swear I already look pregnant. Part of it is weight gain (tracking my calories for maintenance but gaining about 1 pound/week...guess I need to recalculate). But I'm also VERY bloated. And I'm not constipated per se but everything feels slowed down. I'm used to eating 25-30 grams of fiber/day and drinking tons of water. I'm wearing knockoff spanx which helps a little. Going to switch iron pills too (my prenatal is without iron which I like so I can experiment with that) Any other ideas?

Some of the bloat is just hormones and unavoidable. It'll die down after the first trimester, though of course you'll start actually showing soon after that. ;)

  • I am right here with you! I am 7+1 and feel SO bloated! I also have been gaining weight super fast! With my first, I gained 2lbs in the first trimester...I've already gained 3lbs in 7 weeks! I am totally freaking out!

  • So bloated I'm already using a hair tie on my pants! And my MIL commented yesterday on my little bump. I haven't even stepped on the scale since my appt. I don't want to know! Definitely know it's not baby though. It's soft and squishy haha.

  • I'm sporting a blump at just 4 weeks. It'll be a dead giveaway during my wedding next week if it continues.

I was so bloated today during a training that I had to unbutton my top button on my pants.

    No shame in my game.
  • Hey props to all you ladies who can still at least wear pants. I'm in strictly dresses and skirts since early last week because my bloat game is so strong! :@)
  • Anyway to reduce??? I don't want to buy maternity clothes yet (don't want to jinx) but none of my pants fit!!!
  • I'm wearing mostly dresses now too since anything with a button is so uncomfortable but I think I might buy a Bella band today. Margo, maybe give it a try instead of going straight to maternity?

Bella bands help, but they would be really hot in summer.  With my first pregnancy I went the first three months with a hair tie keeping my jeans closed.
  • Been sporting the Bella band for 2 weeks now and trying not to punch MIL when she makes twins comments at me. Bloat sucks.
  • Give into the pants!  You know you want to!

I am experiencing the same. I have actually lost a few lbs from dropping the alcohol but it looks AND feels as if I have put on 5 in my belly. I actually unbuttoned my pants for relief today for the first time...looking forward to elastic waist bands! All worth it though!
