October 2015 Moms

Well I'm screwed....

I've been having soooo much pain the last week. Mostly just growing pains, stretching, round ligament ect... She's not even big yet and I've got 100 more days... Welp... If this is uncomfortable I'm soooo not looking forward to her growing another foot... Ouch! Be nice to momma sweet Lucy!

How's everyone else doing with their heads of lettuce that feels more like a cinder block? Lol

Re: Well I'm screwed....

  • I'm sorry you're in so much pain mama. My hips are killing me and some days my belly hurts when I walk but otherwise I'm doing okay :) still able to exercise and do housework.

  • Starting to get uncomfortable. I've been trying different stretches and an hr massage every other week from the massage school that offers them cheap lol
  • My pain fluctuates and seems to never be in the same spot for more than a day or two. I make an effort to walk daily (sometimes run but my knees feel suuuuuper weak and tender now so I'm cutting that out too), some stretching/yoga, and warm baths. The heat here in NC is making me the most miserable though.... :-q

  • @adcoxmt yeah, any heat or humidity kills me! Still trying to make it to the gym (air conditioned) 3-4 nights a week... I just feel like I'm on the elliptical with a knife in my side... Or foot ;)
  • I'm seeing a chiropractor but I still am having pains. We ordered a recliner for me to use, hopefully it'll help. I have times of the day that are better than others. I'll be 29 weeks tomorrow.

I can't do the elliptical without little pains anymore. I am strictly a treadmill girl now but if I don't walk I have more pains.
  • I've reached the point in my pregnancy of always being uncomfortable at some point or another. What's getting me through it is remembering that it'll all be over soon. I'm 29 weeks today; 11 more to go!

When I was pregnant with my son, my hips started aching constantly. When I sat, when I walked, when I lay down. Once he was delivered, the first time I walked after my surgery, I was like "wow! My hips don't hurt!"

In the mean time, staying active, yoga or stretching, sleeping propped up by pillows under my back and legs, taking baths, getting my husband to give me massages (prenatal massage if it's in your budget!) . . . I never found anything to relieve the discomfort 100%, but all of the above help ease it somewhat.

  • In going to call the chiropractor.. I wasn't going to but most of you ladies seem to have luck with going! If anything it will help my headaches :) we're almost there! Home stretch!
  • I've been having some stretching/growing pains a lot lately, too. And getting comfortable enough to sleep is becoming an issue, even with the body pillow. But we're almost there! Only 14 more weeks for me, then I get to hold my baby boy.  :x
  • I'm definitely getting uncomfortable. I'm still working out and doing stuff but by the end of the day I'm physically just done. My hips and pelvis are bothering me and my abs have taken a vacation (I have to rock to get off the couch or out of bed). I notice if I lounge around too much I'm more uncomfortable than if I'm busy and moving.
  • I feel bad for DH bc he has been asked for a lot more foot rubs lately and booty rubs if I can get it. I still get progesterone shots 2x a week in the booty and I've been having lots of tailbone pressure pain, so the butt rubs help!

  • i gotta say prenatal yoga is a lifesaver. i slacked off or couldn't make it to class because of travel for so long, and had a ridiculously tight muscle in my butt/hip for weeks. it was so uncomfortable i was starting to limp/waddle! one class back and it's better! not 100% but probably 90%. amazing. i was never a yoga person before and definitely have the coordination of a drunk snake-- copyright that @kelsojohnson :)! but i sooo recommend it. i last went to class on saturday morning and i still feel like a new person compared to last week.
  • Time to get my drunken snake on....
  • @meghan82 YES!! Prenatal yoga and my chiropractor are lifesavers.
  • Time to get my drunken snake on....

Watch out! There is a vicious-looking puppy just waiting to pounce in you in snake format.
  • Chiropractor! Serious! Changed everything for me!
  • I see a chiropractor also and it does help. Mind had some really great stretches for me to do and they help my lower back. I'm 27 weeks. I feel a lot of pressure on my tailbone of all places and my pelvis. But like these ladies said, yoga or strectching in general will help. Hang in there!
