Nursing Bras?

Anyone have good luck finding great nursing bras? I have been doing research and I'm looking for a few that are 1. supportive but not restrictive and 2. good for a large bust. Links recommended if anyone has found anything good.

I got a cake nursing bra for night time and love it, but its not supportive in the least. Underwire is ok as long as its not blocking ducts, right?

  • I love the bravado ones. If i remember correctly they have them cheapest on Amazon.

  • Leading Lady lace trim wireless nursing bra from JCPenney. Love it! Haven't found any others as comfortable as this one. I actually just ordered another one. I wear a 36DDD (36E). Not sure what size they go up to.
  • I like targets nursing bras.. I'm a 36ddd or 36e also and thu are great. Been sleeping in them lately

I bought some from Soma. I've never nursed before, so I can't vouch for their nursing ease, but I love Soma bras in general and think they're good quality. It was two for 50$, or something close to that.
  • i'm afraid to spend on a nursing bra. I'm a 34ddd right now and i've no clue where i'm going to end up on the spectrum :(
  • I got the cake one too and love it!  I got another one with an underwire for during the day but ended up hating it and only wore it a few times (which was weird because I always wore underwire bras before getting pregnant).

The nice thing about the cake nursing bras (from Nordstrom) is that it's like a sports bra, but still has the hooks in the back to give you some adjustment space when filling out.  I'm normally a 38DD and I'm still on the first hook and can still adjust the straps as well so I'm not too worried about needing a different one.

  • Do you ladies feel nursing bras are a necessity? I am 38w+1d and am still the same 34 A/B I've always been. I'm sure once I'm breast feeding this will change but at this point I don't know if I should bother getting any until I see how they change. Thoughts? And thanks for all the brand recommendations listed above!
