Tmi but worried

I have a what appears to look like in the mirror, a canker sore on my V on the inside of the lips. Was curious if any other moms have had similar issue & what was done by the ob about it? I was tested for herpes in the first trimester but came back negative. I am trying to get ahold of the doctor office now.

  • Maybe just a clogged pore?
  • Ingrown hair? Zit that got popped?
  • It's on the inside of the labia minora so I don't think it is an ingrown hair or a zit that got popped

It could be a boil. I have gotten those since being pregnant, not fun, but not serious either.

    Boils suck!! I've had two.
  • Blocked oil duct? Is it painful?
    BabyFruit Ticker

    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

  • Yeast infection? That's what happened when I got a particularly bad yeast infection
  • I could be wrong, as I don't have herpes but I believe you get multiple, not just one. I've never heard the sentence "I have a herpe". Probably a blocked duct or boil as pp said.
  • I've gotten cold sores unfortunately often ever since i was like 3 or 4. they tend to be stress related, but especially exciting/good stress! During my last pregnancy i got them a lot and the perscription i have for it is safe to take. Maybe talk to your primary care doc to see if thats what it is and if you can get something for it? Abriva (something like that) may help slow it, but mine just get worse and worse until i take meds. They can leave little scars if it gets bad enough.
  • A long time ago I had something like that, and it was an ingrown hair. Never hurts to have the doctor look!

Not sure if you got and answer from your doctor, but if it is a boil or ingrown hair a wet warm washcloth will help or soaking in a bath. It helps bring everything to the surface so it can eventually pop and then starts healing.
