Pre-eclampsia and hospital stay

Just asking for prayers, I went to my OB appointment Tuesday and my blood pressure was 166/106 and my doctor got called out so I was send home, then that night I started having a horrible headache and decided to go get checked out. And my Bp was 177/107 so they admitted me and done a 24 hour protein test, it came back at 4992 and I was sent to a hospital with a level 3 nicu and we did another 24 hour urine and now it is over 6000, now we are playing the waiting game of when to deliver if other symptoms pop up, so far it's just the high bp and protein, we are watching for headaches and vision changes. I've had both shots of steroids just incase. Just asking for thoughts and prayers, sorry for the long post. TIA!

thoughts & prayers for you. I've been admitted twice in the past week for several hours due to preeclampsia & high blood pressure. hoping your numbers go down and you're able to get some rest and peace

We have been told we will be in the hospital till delivery and if any other symptoms come up after I am 34 weeks which is tomorrow, then they will not wait to induce.

Yikes that's a lot of protein. Make sure they are doing lab work every few hours. When I was in they were done every 6. Where I work o saw a bad outcome because labs weren't being done like they should which is why I mention it

Baby Elayna was born on July 19th at 5:37 a.m. weighing 4lbs 4.8oz and 17.75 inches long. She's in the nicu but doing great, just working on feedings, she's been breathing room air from birth, and just has a tube to help finish meals. I've never been more in love!

Congrats! I am glad you were smart enough to go and get checked out when you did not feel right and they were able to make sure that you and baby were in the best place possible for you to deliver!

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers, I'm doing great and baby girl is still in the nicu but she is just working on taking all of her feedings by mouth. We are so in love.
