Ugh...SO tired!

Good morning Mamas...
Fatigue is, by far, the worst symptom so far for this mama.  It's really hard for me, because I'm a coffee addict, and I've cut down to the recommended one cup a day, since I got my BFP.  I'm a SAHM of 2 tots (3 & 2), and it's difficult to even get through the day.  So, let me ask you mamas, what do you do to deal with the exhaustion, when you can't always nap or go to bed early?

Re: Ugh...SO tired!

  • It's definitely harder with a toddler around! I rely a lot on DH, he does help a lot and gives me time to rest. Hope yours does the same.

  • You know, you can have another cup...they say 1-2 cups (and with this being the third pregnancy, you of course already know it).  So a second cup on a really hard day is really ok :)

You can also drink a glass of orange juice, get up, move around and stretch, get that blood flowing.  Ummmmm praying that this trimester goes really quickly???

  • DH works all day, but when he's home, he understands, and helps as much as he can with dinner, cleanup, and bath time/bedtime routines.  I hope this tri goes quickly, too.  I think, on days like today, I will have another cup of coffee.  I've had breakfast, OJ, and my vitamins, and I do yoga stretches every morning to get the blood flowing, but it's so hard to work up the motivation to get up get moving more when all I want is a nap...and it's only 10:20 :/

Do your others at least nap at the same time?  And I totally get that.  After coming home from work all I want to do is pass out and my kids just want mommy.

  • Try eating apples with your breakfast. They will wake you up more than a cup of coffee supposedly.....

  • I've been trying to lay down when my son naps. I've been so tired so I've just been slowing down our day a bit more. I get out puzzles and books for him and he will play with them for awhile and I can lay down and still interact with him.
