Hair falling out postpartum?

My hair is falling out *big time.*  I'm sure part of it is stress related (this happened once before when I was at a really bad job), but also - haven't I heard that this happens postpartum?  I know I wasn't very far along to be dealing with pp stuff . . . but to everyone's surprise I did have milk come in and etc. (sorry if TMI), so who knows.

Anyways, if it can happen pp, I thought you ladies might have suggestions on how to deal.  When this happened before I took a vitamin that helped (Marlyn Formula 50) - but my RE didn't want me on it.  I'm using Nioxin shampoo and that's helping a little . . . ??

    its normal your hair stops falling out but continues to grow while PG and once your hormones start to normalize the excess hair starts to fall out.  It started for me about a month ago and is just now starting to calm down.

    Happens to just about everyone.  Mine started at 3 months and continued until 6.5 months pp.  Sucks

    My hair was falling out at ridiculous amounts until just about this past week.  Both my OB and PCP told me it was normal, and should stop arounf 6 months pp. I just dealt.  Well, DH dealt too, since it clogged the tub two times a week, and my hair was EVERYWHERE!

    I used to have such a full head of hair and after I stopped breastfeeding out it all came. My hair is soooooooooo much thinner on top and it stinks. It never fully grew back in. Even now that I'm pregnant again, I notice it's got a bit more of the body it had about 5 years ago but it's def. not the same and I'm really scared for what's going to happen after I stop b/feeding this time around. So sorry you are going thru this. : (((

    My hair is actually falling out all along my hairline at the front, plus it is thinning out all over.  Every hairdresser I have ever had in my life has mentioned how I have soooo much hair.....not anymore!  I look like I have male pattern hair loss.

    I am sorry you have to deal with this too.
