I'm 24w3d and not sure if I should be worried. This just happened this morning which I the third time so far but each month for the past 3 months I've had a charlie horse/bad leg cramp in my back hamstring in the same leg. It makes me jump out of bed and I walk it out and usually lasts 3-5 minutes. Should I be worried? I was going to call the dr later about it. TYIA
Re: VIP Question
You can try increasing your water and eating bananas but not much helps.
I find standing up and putting pressure on the leg helps.
They are a common pregnancy symptom though.

I could only picture this.
"You old. She pregnant. I can't have a bunch of old, pregnant bitches runnin' around"

Lol, I actually wondered if I was qualified to answer this question.

Among women being put on bed rest, experiencing debilitating mental and physical symptoms, even the loss of children, a Charlie Horse really doesn't qualify as a "Very Important Problem." A better title might have been "An Annoying but Common Pregnancy Symptom."

Or "Please Google an annoying but common pregnancy symptom for me."

No need to get upset. You could have explained why you titled the thread the way you did since that's all anyone was wondering. Nobody is acting better than you or being nasty. At all. But if you're not happy here, nobody is stopping you from going elsewhere.
Nobody was being nasty. Just confused as to why you feel the need to refer to your problems or yourself as VIP?? I would take Charlie horses as my biggest problem in a heartbeat.

Say it with me, "Very Important Person Question".
This does not, a good thread title make.
Say it with me!!!
Wait I forgot my exclamation points. !!!
This term for a cramp or pulled muscle in the leg is originally a baseball term, or at least it first gained widespread use in baseball jargon. The reference is a mystery. No one knows who Charley was or why he may have had a lame horse.
The earliest known use of the term is from the Boston Globe, 17 July 1886:
Several years ago, says the Chicago Tribune, Joe Quest, now of the Athletics, gave the name of “Charlie horse” to a peculiar contraction and hardening of the muscles and tendons of the thigh, to which base ball players are especially liable from the sudden starting and stopping in chasing balls, as well as the frequent slides in base running. Pfetlor, Anson and Kelly are so badly troubled with “Charley horse” there are times they can scarcely walk. Gore had it so bad he had to lay off a few days, and is not entirely free from it now. Williamson, too, has had a touch of it.
But, mostly take magnesium supplement before you go to sleep.
From the snowflake vibe I'm getting I'm going to have to go with Charlee
