Sub chorionic hemorrage?

So I'm 13 weeks and 5 days. This is my 3rd baby. My daughter's were both easy pregnancies. Yesterday out of nowhere I started bleeding like a lot. I freaked out and immediately went to the er. They said baby is perfectly healthy and fine but that I have a large sub chronioc hemorrhage. I got put on bed rest until bleeding stops and have to go to my ob every couple of days for the next few weeks. Dr said it's nothing to worry about. But I can't help but worry. Has any other mommas went thru this? Could use some positives

Re: Sub chorionic hemorrage?

  • I had one at 6w and resolved on it's own by 8w. It depends on the location too. Mine was below my babies, and I basically bled it out. It was small. I have a friend who had one above her twins and that apparently was more dangerous.
Take it easy and thoughts and prayers your way.

  • I had one at 6 weeks as well n my twins are good the bleed was below both babies I believe. We looked at my 12 week appt and the bleed was gone.

I have one now. I had bleeding about two weeks ago and was placed on partial bed rest. Since the bleeding stopped I have been restricted from heavy lifting , exercise, and intercourse but no longer on bed rest . At the last u/s baby was still doing fine, and the hemorrhage has shrunk. So far so good. Hope things will go well for you as well.
  • Several of us here have had them and have been just fine. They are alarming but it may comfort you to read the older threads :)
  • Same thing here, had one heavy bleed at 9 weeks nothing since. Went back for an ultrasound at 11 and the blood was gone. Good luck momma!
  • I had one at 8 weeks, it absorbed by 12 weeks. Just try to take it as easy as you can with 2 kiddos already!
  • I had one. It helped me to read a bunch of older threads with info on it!
  • I had one at 11w2d, stopped bleeding 3 days later. I know how scary they may seem, but after talking to my OB and reading threads on here, I found out how common they are! When I went for my NT scan at 12 weeks, it was gone. Try to rest and follow doctors orders, I hope you get the same results I did!

  • I got diagnosed with one. At 9 weeks cause I was bleeding. At 11 weeks I was back in the er because I passed a huge clot. Baby is doing good but since then I am on modified sort of bed rest. Basically take it easy, no lifting, no being on your feet for long periods of time. It's stressful because my doctor said no work for 3 weeks. And there isn't truly evidence that shows bed rest will help. I just know mine got bigger without the rest and I can't loose another baby this year. Hopefully they shrink like it's supposed to
  • I also have one, I'm on bed rest and it has me concerned. I guess because of the size and location of mine. Medium in size and right at the placenta they are worried about it causing an abruption. I got a Doppler to ease my mind through the constant bleeding and I'm just taking one day at a time in bed. Good luck and hoping that all the sch's resolve quickly.
