Teething and nursing strike

My 3 month old baby girl I'm pretty sure is teething. She is a drool monster, chewing on her hands, slightly flushed cheeks and I can feel the teeth in her gums.
But the real problem is she is refusing to nurse. She has consistently arched her back and screamed when I offer her my breast, but she still take her pacifier at nap time. The only consolation is that she nurses as normal through the night in her semi unconscious state, which makes me think it may be more of a mental thing for her now?
I have been pumping like crazy and giving her bottles of expressed milk because she seems so hungry! But I don't want her to start to prefer the bottle over the breast.
Has anyone else overcome these issues?
It's so upsetting for both me and her.

  • Going through this recently - same as above, just persevere! Thankfully my husband is very supportive and will encourage me when it's hardest, but it will pass. We just do something else for ten mins or so and try again - if she's hungry, she will eat. She seems happier if we're side lying or walking around at the moment - she's at the nosy stage, too, where she doesn't want to stop looking around in order to eat. And as far as the teething toy goes - I just take her off and gently say no, then relatch her again. She'll learn eventually :)
