so I got the second part of my prescreening for downs and trisomy the test results came back negative which they said is great but they did find that there was a abnormal lower level of my protein serium in the baby. They said there is nothing I can do and that they would just do a growth scan at 20 weeks, on July 27, and then another growth scan at 32. I am just so nervous for my baby. I can't wait to have my 20 week us to see how he is growing. I have been feeling movement since 15 weeks, I'm hoping that's a great sign of regular growth .
I also read at 18 weeks I would be very hungry . I don't feel more hungry then normal . Maybe it's because I'm getting over a cold . I don't know , I just worry my will have a disability .
Re: Prescreening protein probleM
I didn't get any more hungry than usual and I'm at 20weeks now.
For what it's worth, the Dr. told me this is a newer test, and a majority of women with the low protein have normal-sized babies. Maybe 25% have babies that are slightly smaller, and this has no effect on their eventual size. Also, it is not an issue you will have in all pregnancies - it's a 'just the way the cookie crumbles' this time around kind if thing. I wish you luck, keep me posted!
For making me feel better !
