Organizing changing table/Pack N Play?

Anyone have any good lists or pictures of how they organized their changing table or their Pack N Play changing station? We are putting the finishing touches on the nursery and I am starting to move everything from the piles in the closet to their rightful places. We've got a dresser with a changing pad on top for up in the nursery and we are using one of the top drawers for diaper stuff. We also have a Pack N Play for downstairs with an attached changing station. I'd love any ideas/pictures/websites!

Thanks in advance!

Re: Organizing changing table/Pack N Play?

  • I looked on Pinterest for ideas on how to organize the dresser. I'm also using the dresser as a changing table. I tend to over organize, so I bought clear plastic shoe boxes from the container store in full and half sizes. I used the top drawers for diapers, wipes, lotion, pacis, toiletries, bows, etc...then I rolled the onesies so they would take less space and put them in the boxes. Pjs went in the bottom left side and sheets and blankets on the bottom right.

My changing table has 3 drawers. I put diapers, wipes, butt cream in the top drawer. Middle drawer is blankets, burp cloths, and swaddle blankets. Bottom drawer is fairly empty but I have put extra crib sheets there.

My exact set up w bottom drawer bath towels and wash clothes.
  • Here's my pack n play that we are keeping downstairs. I've got diapers, wipes, and a blanket in it. I plan on putting a few extra onesies/outfits in it after we bring her home and know what size she'll be wearing.
  • All I have in the pack and play in our bedroom is a blanket, diapers, wipes & diaper ointment

Regardless of what you decide, the best advice I received from an experienced mama was to keep baby wipes and hand wipes on the top of the dresser / at arms reach and not in the drawer with the rest of the supplies ... poop on one hand while holding the baby with the other one = not ideal for touching anything but wipes / wipe container. Seems obvious now but it was an embarrassing light-bulb moment for me!
  • I was adamant about not cluttering up the top of the dresser and wanted to keep wipes in the drawer with all the other diapering supplies - until my mom came back from shopping today and said the same thing you did! She got a cute little box to put the wipe container in so it's easily accessible but not visible.
  • Yep wipes stay out and diapers and any clothes are within reaching distance. Don't want to have to pick up baby to find another outfit.
