2nd Trimester

Low anterior placenta

Hi all
Had my 20 week scan yesterday and all ok with the baby. However sonographer did say I had a low lying anterior placenta and wanted to re-scan at 28 weeks. She didn't really go into any more detail.
Tried to read up on it and most seem to say if the placenta is low it will stop baby coming out so may need a c section, but most of the time it moves out of the way by next scan.
Just wondered if anyone had any more information or experience of this.
Thanks xx

I was pregnant with DS at the same time as one of my coworkers (she was two weeks ahead of me). She was told at her anatomy scan that she had partial placenta previa. They told her the same thing, placenta usually moves enough to deliver vaginally. By they time she was induced, she had no issues.
