Worried. Good thoughts appreciated

FTM here and not sure if I'm worried over nothing or listening to my instincts. I'll be 35 weeks tomorrow, and baby Lily has been kicking up a storm until about 8 o clock last night, when her movements suddenly changed. I know she is getting bigger and running out of room, and I feel a few movements every now and then, but it is scary to me that it changed so quickly. Now it feels like she is just adjusting slightly. It's so subtle that I'm not sure if it's really her or if I'm just imagining it. I've tried cold, sugary drinks, laying on my side, and have eaten dinner and breakfast since then but she's just not as active as before. I called the doctor and they are seeing me at 1 pm today. If you ladies could send good thoughts my way I would really appreciate it! Thank you :(

  • Sending thoughts and prayers - good to go get checked out!
  • T&Ps. Have a big cold glass of OJ if possible and lay down.

  • I had the same thing. He was so active and wiggly then all of a sudden it slowed down big time. If it wouldn't have been for my Drs monitoring me I would be very worried. Mine is just the way he is laying. Plus I feel more contractions then movements now. If I didn't have my fetal heart monitor I think I'd go crazy! I'm in that stage of my pregnancy where I'm worried that something will happen to him even tho he is healthy. I've said this before I've done more praying while pregnant than I ever have in my life. Prayers for you and your little one!
  • Let us know what happens! Thoughts and prayers. If it makes you feel any better my little Man is always less active if I'm particularly active myself. But it's good you're getting it checked out. Hoping everything is fine! :-)
  • I'm glad you're going in. Sending you t&p's.
  • Thoughts and prayers your way!
  • Keep us posted! T&P!
  • Good thing you called your doctor! Many TnP's!

Exactly the same here. If I didn't have my nst yesterday, I'd go nuts .

Sending t&p to your little one! Hope all is well!! @laurenashley519 ! Glad you're getting checked out.
  • Glad you're going in!! I had the same thing happening Tuesday (33+5, but with approx 6 lb 10 oz baby). Nothing I did made him move for several hours. I called my doctor who told me to go to the hospital. Thankfully they found his heartbeat. But he still wouldn't wake up, not even during an extensive ultrasound (which he usually hates). As his heartbeat was constantly very high, they kept me there overnight. All other NSTs afterwards were fine though and he started moving again during the night. It's super scary. I'm also paranoid at this point (stm). But the doctors reassured me that it is NOT stupid to get it checked out, and that I should definitely come in again if I don't feel him move (and not think it is nothing as everything ended up fine this time around). So you're doing the right thing! Thinking of you!!
  • Thoughts and prayers!
  • I'm at the doctor now about the same thing! I've been on edge, particularly after reading one of the posts yesterday morning. I'd rather err on the side of caution than to wish that I had. Prayers coming your way!
  • So glad you're following your instincts and going in! Sending T&P your way… Keep us updated!
  • Always trust your instincts. Better to get checked and have it be a false alarm than sitting there worring all day and it being something.
  • Thoughts and prayers for you and the baby
  • Positive thoughts coming your way, keep us posted.

Sending happy thoughts your way! Yes, that post yesterday was so heartbreaking. Thankfully everything looks good with my little girl, hope the same for you!

Oh goodness, how scary for you! But I'm glad everything turned out well (for both of us)!

I think everyone is on edge after reading that post. I almost ended up at the dr yesterday also. Baby switched up her pattern she's more active from 1030pm until about 4am and now she sleeps most of the day.

I was going back and forth on getting a heart monitor, today is one of those days I wish I had one at home!! Thanks for your response, I'm so glad everything is going ok for you and baby.
  • I am so happy you and baby are well! Try to rest. You did the right thing Momma.
  • You did the right thing, glad to hear all is well. I was also freaked out a bit by the post everyone is referring to. I've been guilty of waiting a few days after movement has slowed down before taking action... In my case everything was fine but the baby had just moved into a position where I could not feel him. I think we will all be a bit paranoid the next few weeks!
  • Glad everything was okay! T&p's that you will be able to relax :)
  • I had the same thing happen! I noticed a difference over about a day and a half and called and went in. They hooked me up and he started moving like crazy! They told me not to worry better to always be safe!
  • Thank you all so much for your responses and reassurance! Just got back home from the doctors office. They did an NST and a sonogram, and both came back with good results. I guess she is just having a lazy day today! I'm not as relieved as I thought I would be. Don't get me wrong, I am so glad all the results came back well. I am still kind of unnerved that her movements changed so suddenly. The doctor was super nice, he's on call this weekend and said to call if she is still acting sluggish. I'm planning to just rest this afternoon and try to calm myself down. Again, I really appreciate you ladies! You're awesome! Have a great weekend all!

My little one was this way last sat-Monday. I would feel her but it was different movements than before. I was out of the state and sooooo busy. I barely slept because my sil had my nephew and we were at the hospital a lot. I called the doctors 4 time Monday and they never answered. Finally she started kicking and made me feel better. I went to the dr Tuesday and she was fine. I guess she was just as exhausted as I was. She is back to her old self now, kicking and moving up a storm. Glad you went in and definitely always err on the side of caution.
