Restless legs problem

does anyone else have restless legs? Since the start of my second trimester I have often had restless legs at night. It is really irritating because it is preventing me from being able to fall asleep. The past few nights I haven't been able to fall asleep until after 1 am. That's not a huge deal now because I'm a teacher and can sleep in during the summer but I'm worried that this will continue once school starts again in mid August and I will be lacking a lot of sleep. I'm wondering if anyone has ideas as ways to prevent or "cure" restless legs? I have tried soaking them, stretching them, and eating a banana. This seems to help a little but not much.

  • I have this problem as well. I was told it could be a lack of magnesium. So I drink Fiji water at least once a day for the magnesium. I also increased my calcium by taking a supplement and try to stretch. I hope this helps you and you find restless leg relief :)

  • I have the same problem and I feel like when I exercise ( I usually just walk on the treadmill) it helps. The days I dont walk it seems to be worse.
  • It's as if I wrote this post! I've had RLS on and off for years, but it has gotten so much worse! I keep my DH up all night. He is not a teacher, so it does matter if he gets some sleep. Poor guy :(
  • I almost posted about this the other day! I've been getting it at night. Like previous poster said, mine doesn't happen if I do cardio that day. Also, I've been making it a point to drink some Gatorade and eat a banana daily. It's helped tremendously. If I do all these things, I rarely have a problem.
