This is unbearable

So i woke up today with extreme pain in my lower abdomen just below my bump. It has taken on a whole new level of severity and i am almost unable to walk. In between the sharp pains (especially with movement) there is dull period like cramping that is pretty constant. But the pain with walking or changing positions is very intense and sudden, although nothing seems timeable. I was just at the doctor's last night and they said everything looks good and that my cervix is very favorable for labor. I am due tomorrow

Re: This is unbearable

  • Should i call or wait it out and see what happens??

  • There is no harm calling to find out what they think hun, that is what they are there for after all. Let us know what happens x
  • I would just call to make sure.
  • They said to wait until these "pains" are coming 5 minutes apart or til my water breaks. And to just rest and take it easy in the meantime
  • um, really? I'm sorry you're in such pain! can the doc check you out at your appointment? Maybe it's something like a UTI or something else that you could have the pain go away? Or do you definitely think it's contractions?
  • I'm honestly not sure, its just always there. Especially when i am moving around..It just feels like the weight of baby and everything thats causing it. I have to literally hold my uterus up sometimes when i'm on my feet. I was supposed to work until the end of this week but had to stop early

I had this after my husband and I had sex. This happened twice and both times we went to the hospital thinking it was labor but it was apparently just an irritation. It couldn't be timed, would come in waves especially when moving or peeing and was so bad I was moaning through out. Both times lasted about 12 hours. Have you been doing any strenuous work/exercise or had sex recently? Either way better to check out any kind of pain you are having. Even if it isn't contractions it's better to be safe as pain during pregnancy can mean something else. Hope you feel better soon!
  • I am pretty active, do alot of walking and my job is very physical. I also just went to the toilet and had some blood so i don't know whether to consider this my "show" or what. My mucus plug has been coming out over several days but wasn't accompanied by any blood
  • I had this and was told to go to the hospital to get it checked out. The resident told me it was just the normal discomfort at the end of pregnancy. I almost slapped her when she said it so nonchalantly (mind you she has never been pregnant so I wish I could be a fly on the wall when it happens to her). It is definitely very painful and I've tried to find relief for it, but no particular position sitting or laying helps me...sometimes I get random relief but then after a little while it's back to the same pain. If you're still concerned about it give your doctor a call...it couldn't hurt. I hope you get some answers and relief soon!

I think I'm feeling the same! It's unbearable at times but I still move around and have to deal with the other kids in the home. My OB says it's the pressure of the baby. I'm scheduled for induction tomorrow but going in today for a cervical check...I know that I'm in early labor though. Hopefully all the moving and pressure has sent me into active labor! Good luck though. Hope you feel better soon or better yet have baby soon!:)
  • I've had this off and on for weeks. I'll have it for abt half a day then nothing.
