i keep reading how some LOs are sleeping 8-10 hours straight and my mind is blown! I'm curious - how many hours in a row does your LO typically sleep durin his/her longest stretch?

Re: How many hours does your LO sleep?

  • Only once has DS done a 7.5 hour stretch. He normally does 5-6 hours but lately it's been 4-5. Hoping it goes back up soon. Glad to hear I'm not the only one shocked by these 8+ hours. I know it's possible, I'm just surprised it's this early and a little jealous!!

  • DD Sleeps from about 10pm to 8 or 9 am. But I pay for that during the day because she hardly naps, thank god she is a good baby who will sit in her bouncy chair and babble at me when I shower, cook supper, etc.

I voted 5-6 but that's only happened 3 or 4 times. Usually it's 3-4 hours. I too am blown away by those who have such you babies sleeping for so long. So jealous!
  • I voted 9+ hours but that's only something that has just recently happening. The last few nights she has slept from about 8:30-6:30
  • My ds has been sleeping all night since 3 weeks old. Before then he would wake up once. He's a really laid back baby that hangs out during the day. I voted for the 9+. He usually sleeps around 10 hours. I feel very lucky this time around because my first child would have been the 1-2 hours lol
  • Mine was 2 1/2 for awhile then finally got up to 4 but now back down to 3 or less which is irritating me :((
  • My lo usually does 3 hours and then after that it's every 2 like clock work. Ds1 did the exact same thing for well over a year. For whatever reason I'm not a zombie yet. He had his shots yesterday and has been sleeping a lot more. I read all the early bedtime posts and decided to put him down just now at 8 instead of his usual 9 or 9:30. We'll see how it goes.

When I see all the 5+ hour stretches I just can't believe it. In my world babies don't sleep like that! Lol
