Is Penelope Belle too princess or juvenile sounding? We are looking for a one syllable middle name to balance out her long first name and our long, harsh-sounding last name. What do you think?

Yes, she sounds like a character from a fairytale (in a BAD way)

Re: Is this name too princessy?
Thanks for your input everyone! I've been stalking middle names for months. We are strongly considering Penelope June also but I didn't really want a "J" middle name. Everything else has been vetoed by DH.
I know the "L" sound is repetitive in Penelope Belle but I don't mind it so much. And I think Penelope Claire looks good on paper but sounds like Penelop-éclair to me when said out loud!

or if you warm up to the "J" middle initial, Penelope Jean, Penelope Jane, Penelope June.
We are honouring a grandfather (Lorne) with Lauren/Loren
I'm all for meaningful middle names because you don't really use them anyways.
