Giant Nipples??

Ok….When I got pregnant my nipples and the dark part around (areola) started getting wider and wider and now they are like…HUGE…like almost palm-sized when I'm NOT cold (if you catch my drift). Is this happening to anyone else?

How can I stuff this giant thing into my baby's mouth to breastfeed?

Totally normal ! I think most if not all women's breast change to prepare to breastfeed. Mine definitely changed since pre pregnancy ! It will slightly go back to normal after you give birth and finish breastfeeding if you choose to do so.

I'm in the same boat as you I think it is because we'll our body is getting ready for the baby well I hope so I hear they go back to normal after having the baby.

It's completely normal. It's like your body making a target for the baby. Mine were huge with my daughter and went back to mostly normal after a good while

Mine are about palm sized as well. Just remember the baby isn't going to be using the entire areola. Just the nipple. So there's no need to be concerned about that. It's just darker so that the baby can see it better. Mine went back to normal after I had my son.

Think about how wide the bottles are that are designed to look like a breast. Your baby can handle it!

BOLOGNA BARB'S UNITE!! Mine were never super tiny but I've got sand dollars for nips now. I expect them to go back to normal as I'm usually a B cup and my mosquito bites can't handle anything that size forever. My boyfriend likes it. Weirdo! :-??

I'm glad I'm not alone. I noticed last night that mine had gotten bigger than ever. I asked my husband if my nipples looked bigger all of a sudden, and he was like, "well they've always been big." Uh, thanks babe, but I'm pretty sure they were more like the size of a quarter before, not as big as a silver dollar pancake.

All that being said, I feel like the nipples got bigger when j was pregnant with DS, but looked more normal after a while, even if slightly larger than before. This is one of those things that doesn't every change back 100%, but eventually you do get back to somewhat normal.

I had a dream the other night that my nipples were so big that my baby couldn't breastfeed! Mine have never been small but they are def huge! DH loves them!

My husband has a look of horror on his face EVERY TIME I get out of the shower or change clothes. I don't know what he was expecting or why this still shocks him!

@wcm2b I won't lie, I am a bit fearful that my nipples will keep growing and take over my entire chest. My boobs are too big to begin with, now I have to worry about smothering my baby. I may not actually be able to breast feed because she will be too horrified to come near me!

My husband is very supportive and says he still loves them but I hate my nipples and giant boobs. I'm so glad I'm in good company.

Haha! I've always had pretty large areolas. But they were very light pink/blended in. Now they are dark and I feel like I have salami nipples. I hope they go back to pink later, but I don't think they do.
