I'm frustrated and annoyed that people can sit on their patooties and rake in the WIC and food stamps while I'm buried in student loans, working my ass off, driving a 13yr old two door car...with two kids, and pay for my own health insurance. Not trying to offend people. Some use assistance for its true purpose but I know WAY too many people that abuse the system and it frustrates me.
Sometimes I can't stand moms who are overly positive about motherhood. It's weird to say because I'm sometimes one of them. But I also like to fully acknowledge the fact that it's hard and tiring. I don't poop tiny unicorns nor do my kids pee out rainbow sprinkles. Just be real. It's awesome and it's exhausting!

I miss the old snarky bump when we could call people out for ridiculously stupid posts and the whiners were forced out
I totally agree! But I think the new bump wants everyone to be positive and happy. That means no honesty. If you can't say something nice, don't say anything. (Even though some people need a wake up call. )

My UO is that I don't miss the old bump. I like honesty but I'm way too old for high school mean girl nonsense. ;-)
I think the new bump reminds me of the girl from mean girls that wishes she could bake a cake of rainbows and butterflies and have everyone eat it haha

I should clarify...I miss the old, old bump, like years ago. Last year when I became pregnant again and came back, there were a lot of ridiculously mean girls. Now everyone is just too nice, even when people say ridiculous stuff. I like the happy medium.

Couldn't agree more! I guess this is noW a popular opinion LOL
Giving kids electronics. Sorry....baby does not need an Iphone in elementary school (even middle school). Please....dont even tell me its educational. They are texting, facebooking, and using instagram instead of getting outside or doing some freaking homework. Parents....teach your children!
I'm a first time mom and just wondering what the "old" bump was like. I guess this is my first time on here so I don't know how to tread the murky waters of mommy forums lol!
Ooooh, a fun one! I fed all of my 3 daughters eggs, strawberries and peanut butter before they were one and before the hysteria about food allergies was present. None of them have ever had an allergy to anything in their lives. I plan on following my example with new LO and allowing him try a wide variety of solid foods.
I think too many women are too possessive of their little one. Let your husband do some things, even if they do something differently and LET them figure it out. Let your mother in law hold the baby (and even let them call them "my baby"...it's not the end of the world). If a stranger touches your baby, it will really be OK. Does it really happen that often and do you really think they will get sick from this? I know it's your child, but other people want to share in the excitement of a new little one.

I wish I remember specifics, but I read an article that stated it's actually been found to reduce a child's likelihood of developing allergies if you eat those foods while pregnant and feed them to the child early on.
The fact so many members complain about their MIL when they're really not doing anything bad - I think it's a grandma thing to call them 'my little guy/girl'. Or, in the case of the really bad MILs that their husbands aren't told to grow a set and tell their moms not to treat their wife like shit. Makes me glad to be single. :P
Character clothes. Oh my god. I hate character clothes. They're tacky and I don't understand why there my 2 month old needs a Minnie Mouse outfit. She doesn't even know who it is yet!

I have another. I can't stand people complaining about their partners on the bump. Like not the occasional can you believe my husband did this? I'm talking about the ones that dump out their entire unhealthy relationship on the Internet -- men who don't want any part in their child's life or treat their wives/gfs horrendously on a regular basis. Stop whining on the Internet and Go get a new man in your life that treats you well!!!!

My unpopular opinion:
