My beloved mummy picked up a stray dog, and thought it would be awesome for my daughter to have since the new baby is coming. I've given the dog a flea bath but obviously a day late as I'm cover in bites. I've been using hydrocortisone cream its not working
Re: What can I do for flea bites?
There's nothing really that fully helped our itchiness but we would use cortizone cream and it helped but not much. Really just had to wait it out which will feel like eternity. Goodluck! Sorry I couldn't be more help but just MAKE sure they're not in your carpet, bed or couch because they will only multiply.
If necessary look into a flea bomb and the carpet powder on a day everyone can be out of the house for a while. It sucks. But it's better to suffer one weekend while eliminating than suffering for a month plus. And be sure to get the dog on flea meds. If he has it really bad or internal parasites (worms) some food grade diatametious earth in his food will help (1 tsp for under 40 lbs, 1 tbsp for over 40 lbs)
Anyhow, the pharmacist I saw recommended burn spray with novacaine. It was otc, but I'd check with your OB first. It's the only thing that allowed me to sleep!
Even with Benedryl, I wash itching like a fool!!
