2nd Trimester

Too emotional help!!!!

I need some advice on how to control this hormonal imbalance. There are days like today where small stuff goes wrong and I am super forgetful and it makes me too emotional and I take it way too personal. I know it can be normal for pregnancy but it only happens a few times a week and I hate it. Any ideas ? Please help.

  • I find it helpful when I feel myself getting upset to pause and try to truly think about whether my emotions are coming from "me" (i.e. I am understandably upset and this is how I would normally react to this situation) or from my hormones (i.e. my hormones are taking what may normally be a relatively minor annoyance and making it feel out of control). It doesn't help necessarily with how I'm feeling, but if I can pause and make myself realize that things are probably not as bad as they feel at that moment, then I can try to better control how I react to stressful/upsetting situations.

  • Are you normally a person who reacts to your emotions immediately, or who has control of her behavior? I am the latter, and don't find it a problem to still consider my actions beforehand, so my only advice would be to truly think before you react. Knee jerk reactions and actions are usually poor ones.
  • Yes i get it. I cry probably every two days. I just try and keep everything calm, not engaging in anything that could cause me to loose my grip. U r not alone. I have been crazy this pregnancy
