Pitocin for 5 hours now and NO progression

So my water started leaking yesterday at 9 am and was going on and off all day, but no contractions at all. I called the L&D department and they had me come in around 8 pm. They started pitocin at 9 am because it had been 24 hours and still only dilated to 1 and about 50%, which I've been at for close to 3 weeks.

I'm excited to finally meet our little guy but super annoyed at the lack of progress.

In L&D now....came in due to leaking fluid. Turns out it's not Amniotic fluid so I am about to get sent home after the results of a second test. Very disappointed. Hope you progress soon!

So exciting! Just be patient. It took 12 hours in total from the start of the pitocin to my first baby being born. Epidural worked very well and only pushed for 30 mins. I was leaking and only 1 cm dilated also. Good luck!

Update!
Around 6PM, I finally dilated to 2, so the doctor took me off all. The monitors and had me walk around for half an hour, which got me to 4!
Then I got on the birthing ball and that bumped me up to 7. Then everything stopped. I went 2 hour with no progress and baby started showing signs of distress.
Since it was over 36 hours since my membranes ruptured and baby suddenly wasn't doing well, I had to go downstairs for an emergency C-Section.
Oliver was born at 11:27PM. 6lb, 12.8oz and 19.6 inches. I was at 39 weeks + 2
He's perfect!
